		<description>It really depends on the individual coins Ann Dee.  The year and the condition of the coin plays a great part in how collectible or valuable it is.  Having said that, it is illegal to deface current legal tender and it is my understanding that predecimal coins are still considered legal tender.</description>

		<description>I have about fifty three pence coin that I have collected. I would like to turn them into items of jewellery.  My question is are they a collectors item and therefore i should hold on to them or I should I utilize them to make my jewellery.
